Birthday Week

For some reason this year I felt like my birthday lasted a really long time. First, Garrett and I celebrated it a week early because he had to be out of town for my real birthday. He surprised me with a gateway in Salt Lake. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn. It was the sweetest hotel ever. Each room has a different theme. Example would be jungle room, Romeo and Juliet, we stayed in Treasure Island. Here are pictures from our fun night.

On my birthday a me, Rachel and Emily went down to Gateway to shop and eat lunch. We stayed in one store for about 3 hours. :-) Gotta love Forever.

That night McCall made me a birthday dinner. It was so good. It had my favorite lemon salad, with some yummy meat. She made me the prettiest cake. Thanks McCall! That meant a lot a lot to me!!

Then my mom came into town for the weekend. So, Jaime has adult and kid dress ups. They are the coolest. This is my mom, Abbie and Lillie dressing up.

Update

Well this past couple weeks have been fun. Minus the fact that Garrett was gone I have been trying to keep myself as busy as possible. I started school down in Salt Lake and love every minute of it. I never thought I could love school.
I guess being married has changed that in me. :-) I will graduate in Fashion Merchandising next May.
A week ago was the Sundance Film Festivals. I am sad to say that I have never attended one in all my past Utah days, but this year I went up twice. Once with Garrett and the other time with friends. I didn't see anyone to famous but I did see. . .




Jesse from the Bachelorette. He is a lot cuter in person but really short. He was in Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory with some cute girl. Here are some pic from my Sundance experience. I went up with my long lost roomy Emily and her husband Ben and friends. We had so much fun trying to get into movies and walking all around Park City.





Then after that fun field day, I helped Liz Lyons celebrate her b-day at PF Changs. Kent had invited a lot of friends to be at PF Changs for Liz. I had fun with her. I can't believe we all are turning 24. Liz I can still remember birthdays when we were in 7th and 8th grade. Time goes by so fast.

Valentine's Day

I know two postings in the same day...

So yesterday I went into Smiths and noticed that all the Valentine Stuff was out. If you don't know this about me already, Valentines is my favorite Holiday. I love all the colors involved, candy (especially the heart shaped gobstoppers) and it happens to be two days after my birthday. I have just always loved this time of year. I was just excited and wanted to get everyone in the Valentine Spirit.

Our Christmas break was filled with family, rock band and eating. Also, we went to Carli "Heap" Turley's New Years Eve party. We had so much fun seeing everyone and eating her famous crapes. After that we drove to Las Vegas and spent a few days with Garrett's parents and sister Kacee. Then to finish our vacation we went to California for a couple of days to see everyone else that we missed over the break. Now I am so over our car and driving!! It feels good to be home again but I miss all our family!!! Hope everyone had a fun Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!

CHICAGO

I had so much fun in Chicago. Thanks Jenna for being such a great host!!! Chicago is so fun. The only problem was it was a little COLD. The best way to describe how cold I felt in Chicago would be it was soul piercing cold. We had so much fun though. The one day that we had a lot of errands to run, was the one day where it was the worst snow storm ever. Sounds stupid of us but we had so much fun.

The bad part about Traveling

The night I flew home, Garrett flew home from Georgia. That night Salt Lake City had a huge snow storm. Both our flights were delayed. Salt Lake closed their airport down and we both were just circling in the air for about an hour or so until we were cleared to land. Then, my plane didn't even have a gate to unload. So I unloaded in the middle of the road and walked to a door in the freezing cold snow. Then my bags took about an hour (no exaggeration) to find. Finally I have my bags and Garrett flew in a little earlier so the car was all ready. He comes and pick me up, ummm we have a flat tire. Just a reminder it is still snowing outside. We are taking his cousins car home from the airport and he happens not to have any tools to change the tire. He has a spare though. So we pull off and call AAA. They said they will be there in an hour or so. My patience is gone and we are both starving. Then a nice polie car comes up to make sure we are ok. He says he will call a guy at the airport to help. So we call off AAA and wait for this "guy" to come. He takes longer than an hour. Anyways, after all that we start our trek home. We stop off and eat. We then head to Brad and Jaime's house to pick up Duke. As we are leaving their house we get stuck in the snow of their drive way and can't get out. A couple neighbors come out and all the guys have to push us out. That is our first night together after 3 weeks. Priceless!!!

Off to Chicago

I am in Chicago visiting Jenna and Davis. I am here all week. We are having so much fun, minus how freakin' cold it is here. I have many pictures coming of us being completely covered from head to toe outside.
